So there’s a little story to this. When I was younger, I used to be a hopeless romantic, and I came up with a story, or a concept really, that Night and Day were two lovers who could only be with each other for a few moments during twilight when the last light fades and night creeps into the sky. I would imagine their desperation and sadness at only being able to see each other in that short amount of time, and they would share a brief kiss to remind the other that even though they had to be apart most of the time, the sky would always change just so they could be together for a brief moment.
Really dramatic I know, and it doesn’t make a lot of sense. I used to come up with stories like that all the time. I never wrote any of them down, but I remember a lot of them. I had a sudden and unusual romantic feeling wash over me today, and I decided to turn that story into a visual piece. I’m going to paint it, I've already started actually.
Oh, and I decided to make Night a male and Day a female. It is now 4:15am. I'm going to bed.
Dear god...I absolutely love this. The story is so romantically cliche (no offense-2 literally star crossed lovers that have something uncontrollable keeping them apart), and it just makes my heart melt D: The art is so beautiful. I think everyone goes through this dramatic phase at some point in their lives ♥
Haha, thank you so much! But I agree. It really is cliche, but I think that's why I like it. I came up with it when I was way younger, when I was obsessed with love. I think everyone goes through that. Haha
